Polifonikus

Polifonikus is a term that refers to polyphony in music, which is the simultaneous combination of two or more independent melodic lines. This contrasts with monophony, which features a single melodic line, and homophony, where a single melody is supported by chords. Polyphonic music creates a rich and complex texture, with each melodic line having its own distinct rhythm and contour, yet working together harmonically.
