Plutoniumoksideja
Plutoniumoksideja refers to compounds formed between plutonium and oxygen. The most common and stable form is plutonium dioxide, PuO2. This is a dense, dark brown to black crystalline solid. Plutonium dioxide is the primary form of plutonium oxide produced in nuclear reactors and is also the starting material for fabricating plutonium fuel for fast breeder reactors. It is highly insoluble in water, which is a significant factor in its environmental behavior.
Other plutonium oxides also exist, such as plutonium(III) oxide (Pu2O3) and plutonium(IV) oxide (PuO2). Plutonium(III) oxide
