Plokkkopolümeerid, also known as block copolymers, are polymers composed of two or more chemically distinct polymer chains, known as blocks, linked together covalently. These blocks are typically incompatible with each other, meaning they do not readily mix at a molecular level. This incompatibility drives the self-assembly of block copolymers into ordered nanostructures. The morphology of these structures, such as spheres, cylinders, lamellae, or gyroids, depends on the relative lengths of the constituent blocks and their overall molecular weight.
