It also lists the responsible authority, links to maps and planbeskrivelse, regulations and any impact assessments, decisions or conditions, as well as information about public consultation steps and deadlines.

Planinformasjon is usually published on municipal planning portals or digital plan archives and updated as the plan progresses. It serves residents, developers, researchers and public authorities, and is often accessible under public records or freedom of information provisions. The information supports public participation, legal traceability of decisions, and efficient communication of changes to the planning framework.
