Planetteens
Planetteens are a fictional species of sentient, humanoid creatures that inhabit the planet of Planetteen in the animated television series "Planeteen and the Planeteers". Created by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, the series aired from 1985 to 1987 and was a spin-off of the earlier series "Space Academy". Planetteens are known for their distinctive appearance, with large, round heads, small bodies, and large, expressive eyes. They possess the ability to communicate with other sentient beings through a process called "Planeteenization", which involves the exchange of a small portion of their DNA with the host. This process allows Planetteens to temporarily take on the appearance and abilities of the host, while also granting the host the ability to understand and communicate with Planetteens. The Planeteens are a central part of the series' plot, as they work alongside the Planeteers to protect the universe from various threats. The series is notable for its blend of science fiction, adventure, and humor, as well as its use of stop-motion animation. Despite its relatively short run, "Planeteen and the Planeteers" has gained a cult following among fans of animated television.
