Planeetülekannet

Planeetülekannet, also known as planetary transmission or gearbox, is a type of mechanical gearbox that uses one or more planetary gear sets. Each planetary gear set consists of a sun gear, several planet gears that revolve around the sun gear, and a ring gear that encloses the planet gears. The planet gears are mounted on a carrier. By selectively locking or rotating different components (sun gear, planet carrier, or ring gear), different gear ratios and directions of rotation can be achieved.

This design offers several advantages. Planetary gearboxes are compact and can transmit high torque due to the load being distributed among multiple planet gears. They are also highly efficient and can provide multiple gear ratios within a single unit, often allowing for smooth and continuous changes in speed and torque. This makes them ideal for applications where space is limited and high performance is required.
