Pinnenergia

Pinnenergia is a term used to describe the concept of renewable energy generated from wind power, that can be harnessed and utilized by pinnate or feather-like structures. This idea was first proposed by Austrian engineer Ferdi Schüth in the 1990s.

Pinnenergia is based on the principle that pinnate structures can be designed to capture and convert wind energy into mechanical energy. The pinnate structure's unique shape allows it to deflect the wind, creating a pressure difference between the top and bottom of the structure. This pressure difference can be harnessed to drive turbines or other mechanical devices, generating electricity.

Pinnenergia systems have the potential to be more efficient than traditional wind turbines because they can operate at lower wind speeds and generate more energy per unit area. However, the concept is still in its early stages of development and there are several technical challenges that need to be overcome, such as the materials used in the pinnate structure and its scalability for large-scale energy production.
