Pilkkivapas

Pilkkivapas is a Finnish term referring to an ice fishing rod. These specialized rods are designed for vertical jigging through a hole in the ice. Unlike traditional fishing rods, pilkkivapas are typically short, ranging from a few inches to a couple of feet in length, making them easy to handle in cramped ice fishing shelters.
