Pikselilukumäärät refers to the total number of pixels that make up a digital image or display. It is calculated by multiplying the width of the image or display in pixels by its height in pixels. For example, a display with a resolution of 1920 pixels wide and 1080 pixels high has a total pixel count of 1920 * 1080 = 2,073,600 pixels.

Higher pixel counts generally result in sharper and more detailed images, as there are more individual points of color to represent the visual information. This is particularly important for high-resolution displays, where a large number of pixels allows for a more immersive and lifelike viewing experience. In digital photography, a higher megapixel count (one megapixel equals one million pixels) in a camera sensor indicates the potential for capturing more detail and producing larger, more printable images.
