Piacians

Piacians are a predominantly Italian ethnic group originating from the city of Piacenza, located in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy. Their ancestors were primarily of Etruscan and Celtic origin, with subsequent influences from various other European tribes.

Historically, the city of Piacenza was a major hub for trade and commerce, playing a significant role in the Roman Republic and the medieval Republic of Piacenza. This strategic position enabled the Piacians to engage in extensive mercantile activities, establishing connections with other European cities.
