Phosphoranhydride
Phosphoranhydride is a term used in chemistry to describe compounds containing a phosphoranhydride linkage, typically a P–O–P bridge formed by the condensation of two phosphate units with the loss of water. The concept emphasizes the anhydride relationship between phosphate groups and is used to distinguish phosphoranhydride bonds from other phosphate linkages such as phosphoesters.
