Pervading
Pervading is the present participle of the verb pervade, describing the act or process by which something spreads through and is present throughout a space, medium, or system. The sense is that a factor is not confined to a single location but reaches across and colors much of what it touches. The word traces to Latin pervadere (“to go through”), via Old French and Early Modern English. The related noun is pervasion, and the related adjective is pervasive.
In usage, pervading often describes odors, moods, influences, or ideas that seem to saturate an environment.
Compared with pervasive, pervading can emphasize process and breadth within a context. The noun form pervasion
