Perspektyvos

Perspektyvos is the Lithuanian term for viewpoints or outlooks, with the plural form perspektyvos and the singular perspektyva. It denotes the angle, stance, or frame from which a subject is considered, as well as expectations about the future. In everyday language, perspektyvos can refer to different ways of looking at a situation—cultural, political, or personal. In art and design, perspektyva describes visual perspective, the artist’s or photographer’s choice of viewpoint to convey depth, space, and proportion.

In academic and professional contexts, perspektyvos also denote theoretical frameworks or viewpoints through which phenomena are interpreted, such as economic, sociological, or ecological perspectives. Temporal perspektyva refers to forecasts or outlooks over time, including short-, medium-, and long-term horizons. In policy and planning, considering multiple perspektyvos helps account for biases and diverse stakeholder needs, supporting more robust analyses and decisions.
