Perennialization

Perennialization refers to the process of developing or adapting plants to live for more than two years. This contrasts with annual plants, which complete their life cycle in one year, and biennial plants, which take two years. Perennialization is a key concept in agriculture and horticulture, focusing on the development of crops that can be harvested repeatedly without the need for replanting each season.
