Pconcentraties

Pconcentraties is a Dutch term that appears in some sources as shorthand for a set of concentrations associated with a parameter p. There is no single official definition; the meaning depends on the context. In probabilistic mixture models the letter p often denotes a vector of proportions, and pconcentraties refers to the concentration of each component expressed as p_i, with i indexing the components. In environmental chemistry and materials science, p can denote a proportion or relative share, so pconcentraties refers to the vector of relative concentrations of components in a mixture, sometimes normalized so that sum p_i equals 1. In both uses, pconcentraties represent how much of each component is present relative to the whole.

Measurement and units vary by field. In chemistry or biochemistry, concentrations are typically given in molarity (mol/L), mass concentration (g/L), or mole fractions. When described as pconcentraties in probabilistic terms, the components are dimensionless fractions adding to 1.
