It is often used as a pejorative, implying that the content is so bad it appears to have been created by someone who is unintelligent or incapable of producing anything worthwhile. The term is a portmanteau of "paste," referring to the act of copying and pasting content, and "stupid," indicating a perceived lack of intelligence or creativity.
