Paruyr
Paruyr Sevak (1864-1915) was an Armenian poet, writer, and journalist, known for his contributions to the Armenian literary and cultural revival during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Born in the village of Vardenis, near Van, in the Ottoman Empire, Paruyr Sevak was the son of a priest. He received his early education in his hometown and later studied at the Hask School in Constantinople.
