Particlesquarks

Particlesquarks is a term used in speculative particle physics to refer to hypothetical fundamental constituents proposed in some beyond-Standard-Model theories. The term is not part of the established canon of mainstream physics and has no confirmed experimental evidence.

In certain preon-inspired or composite models, particlesquarks are imagined as more fundamental building blocks from which quarks themselves could be composed, or as excitations in a new gauge sector. They are introduced to address questions about the substructure of known fermions or to provide alternative mechanisms for mass generation, confinement, or flavor.

The precise properties of particlesquarks vary by model. Some versions assign them to be fermions with charges and color-like quantum numbers that interact through a new strong force, others posit bosonic states or entities with additional charges. Their masses are unrestricted by current data and could span a wide range, from sub-TeV to much higher scales, depending on the theory.

Experimental status: There is no confirmed detection of particlesquarks. Searches at high-energy colliders and precision experiments have not observed deviations from Standard Model predictions attributable to such states, and they typically yield constraints on their production cross sections and couplings.
