Parantaville

Parantaville is a fictional town in Veridia, situated in the Ardent Valley along the Parant River. It serves as a local hub for surrounding agricultural communities and is noted for its preserved 19th-century town center and riverside landscape.

The town sits on a flat river plain with fertile soils. It experiences a temperate climate with four seasons, supporting orchard crops, dairy farming, and small-scale workshops.

Parantaville was founded in the early 1800s by settlers moving along the Parant corridor. It grew with the arrival of a regional railway in the 1880s and incorporated as a municipality in the early 20th century. The economy diversified thereafter, shifting from milling and trade to a mix of agriculture, manufacturing, and services.

Agriculture—especially apples and dairy—remains central, complemented by light manufacturing and services. Tourism related to the historic center and riverfront contributes to local employment.

It is governed by an elected town council led by a mayor. The council oversees planning, schools, and public services. Parantaville operates two schools and relies on nearby towns for higher education. The town is connected by a regional highway and bus network; the historic rail line is no longer in passenger service.

Notable associations include artist Clara Tan and engineer Mateo Duran, both linked to Parantaville.
