Paramore

Paramore is an American rock band from Franklin, Tennessee, formed in 2004. The group originally consisted of Hayley Williams (vocals), Josh Farro (guitar), Zac Farro (drums) and Jeremy Davis (bass). Lead guitarist Taylor York joined in 2010, solidifying the current lineup alongside Williams and Zac Farro (who rejoined in 2017).

Paramore's music began in the pop-punk/emo genre and evolved toward pop rock and alternative rock. The band released All We Know Is Falling in 2005, which helped them gain initial attention. They achieved mainstream breakout with Riot! in 2007, spawning singles such as Misery Business and Crushcrushcrush and earning multi-platinum sales in the United States. The Twilight soundtrack contribution of Decode in 2008 broadened their exposure. Brand New Eyes followed in 2009, and the self-titled album Paramore released in 2013 marked a shift toward more diverse production and stylistic experimentation. After Laughter, released in 2017, explored new wave and pop influences, and This Is Why in 2023 continued their evolution.

Paramore has received multiple nominations and awards, including a Grammy Award for Best Rock Song for Ain't It Fun at the 2015 ceremony. The band is known for energetic live performances and a large international fanbase. Their work has influenced the pop-punk and emo revival scenes and contributed to the visibility of female-fronted rock bands.
