Paradigmar is a fictional terrestrial planet within a shared science fiction setting used across novels, comics, and games. The planet is a common backdrop for stories about cross-cultural contact, scientific advancement, and political change. In most portrayals, Paradigmar lies on the outer edge of the Nova Expanse and features a temperate climate, a diverse biosphere, and a fragmented but evolving political order.

Geographically, Paradigmar resembles a mid-sized world with oceans covering about two-thirds of the surface. The planet hosts three major archipelagos—the Azure Archipelago near the equator, the Ember Isles to the northeast, and the Verdant Shelf to the south—along with a continental ring of highlands known as the Shifting Range. Gravity is close to Earth’s, enabling varied terrain and rich coastal ecosystems.

Two principal civilizations are commonly depicted: the Helian Confederation, which prioritizes science and education, and the Meridian Collective, a diplomatic and commercial alliance. Several smaller communities also shape the planet’s politics. Chronicles place the planet’s human exploration in the late 22nd century, followed by rapid colonization and the emergence of the Meridian Assembly, a federated council that negotiates inter-settlement affairs. Periodic paradigm shifts in governance and science are a recurring motif, reflecting the planet’s name and its thematic emphasis on change.
