Parabolisella

Parabolisella is a genus of fungi within the family Parabolisellaceae, which is part of the order Helotiales. This genus is characterized by its ascomycete fungi, which are sac fungi that produce spores in sac-like structures called asci. Parabolisella species are known for their distinctive morphological features, including their ascomata (fruit bodies) that are typically perithecia, which are flask-shaped structures that contain the asci.

The genus Parabolisella was first described by the mycologist Josef Velenovský in 1922. It is primarily found in tropical and subtropical regions, with a few species also occurring in temperate areas.
