PanAmerican

PanAmerican is a term used to denote activities, organizations, and systems that connect or relate to the Americas. It is often used in branding or official names to signal a continental scope spanning North, Central, and South America. The capitalization PanAmerican or Pan-American is a stylistic variant used by different institutions.

Pan American World Airways, commonly known as Pan Am, was a major American international airline founded in 1927 by Juan Trippe. At its peak, Pan Am operated long-range routes across the Atlantic and Pacific, helped drive the development of jet travel, and influenced international aviation standards. The airline declared bankruptcy in 1991, and its remaining assets and routes were sold to other carriers.

The Pan American Games are a quadrennial multi-sport event for countries in the Americas. The first games were held in 1951 in Buenos Aires, and the event has since served as a regional complement to the Olympic Games, providing a platform for athletes to compete at an international level.
