Palmatusesti is a term that refers to a specific type of palm leaf venation. In botany, leaf venation describes the arrangement of veins within a leaf blade. Palmately veined leaves are characterized by veins that radiate outwards from a single point at the base of the leaf, similar to the fingers of a hand spreading from the palm. This pattern is distinct from pinnate venation, where veins branch off a central midrib like the barbs of a feather.

This type of venation is commonly found in plants belonging to the family Arecaceae, which includes all species of palms.
