Paintinsulated
Paintinsulated refers to a type of coating that provides thermal insulation properties. It is typically a liquid-applied substance that hardens to form a protective layer on a surface. Unlike traditional paints which primarily serve decorative or protective functions, paintinsulated formulations incorporate specialized additives that reduce heat transfer. These additives can include hollow ceramic microspheres, aerogels, or other materials that create air pockets within the paint film, thereby slowing down the conduction of heat.
The effectiveness of paintinsulated coatings in reducing heat loss or gain is often measured by their R-value,
