Pachomios
Pachomios, also known as Saint Pachomius the Great, was a desert monk and the founder of Christian monasticism in Egypt. He was born around 290 AD and died around 346 AD. Initially, he was a pagan but converted to Christianity during his military service. After his release from the army, he sought out a hermit named Palamon and became his disciple. Pachomios was deeply impressed by the monastic life and eventually decided to establish his own community.
He is credited with developing the first organized Christian monastery, a cenobitic community where monks lived
Pachomios's monastic system proved highly influential, and his model of cenobitic monasticism spread rapidly throughout Egypt
