PLN

The modern złoty was introduced in 1995 following a redenomination, and PLN remains the standard code for Polish currency in international trade, banking, and accounting.

As a corporate name, PLN refers to Perusahaan Listrik Negara, the Indonesian state-owned electricity company. Established in 1945, PLN is the central organization responsible for electricity generation, transmission, and distribution in Indonesia. It is majority-owned by the Indonesian government and operates the national electricity grid, with a framework that includes both public generation capacity and partnerships with independent power producers. PLN has played a central role in Indonesia’s electrification programs and ongoing efforts to expand and modernize the power sector, including upgrading infrastructure and integrating more diverse energy sources.
