Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) is a lipid compound that acts as a signaling molecule in the body. It is a member of the prostaglandin family, which are derived from fatty acids. PGE2 plays a crucial role in a wide array of physiological processes, including inflammation, pain, fever, and blood pressure regulation.
