PEX26ga
PEX26ga is a genetic locus in the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster. It is associated with peroxisome biogenesis, a fundamental cellular process involving the formation and maintenance of peroxisomes. Peroxisomes are single-membrane bound organelles found in eukaryotic cells that perform a variety of metabolic functions, including lipid metabolism, detoxification, and the breakdown of very long-chain fatty acids.
