PCSCF

PCSCF stands for Proxy Call Session Control Function, a core component of the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) used in modern telecommunications networks. The PCSCF is the first point of contact for a user equipment (UE) entering the IMS and also functions as a SIP signaling proxy within the IMS core. As a proxy, it routes SIP signaling messages between the UE and other IMS nodes, and as a session control function it participates in the establishment, modification, and termination of multimedia sessions.

Key responsibilities include user registration, authentication, and authorization with the Home Subscriber Server (HSS) via Diameter,
