PCManFMQt

PCManFM-Qt is a lightweight, fast file manager for Unix-like systems, written in C++ using the Qt toolkit. It is the Qt port of PCManFM and serves as the default file manager for the LXQt desktop environment, providing a native alternative to the GTK-based PCManFM used in LXDE.

The project is built around the libfm-qt library, which separates core file-management logic from the user interface. This design lets PCManFM-Qt provide consistent behavior across different platforms while remaining tightly integrated with LXQt.

Features include tabbed browsing, a side panel showing places, devices and network shares, and multiple view modes such as icons, lists, and details. It supports thumbnail previews, drag-and-drop, customizable actions, bookmarks, and fast search and filtering. It can mount and browse removable media via the system's infrastructure.

PCManFM-Qt is maintained by the LXQt project alongside other LXQt components. It is distributed under the GNU General Public License. As part of LXQt, it focuses on being light on system resources and offering straightforward integration with the desktop environment.
