Otorinolaryngologické refers to the medical specialty concerned with the ears, nose, and throat, along with related structures of the head and neck. This field is also commonly known as Otolaryngology or ENT. Otorhinolaryngologists, or ENTs, are physicians who diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions affecting these areas.

Common conditions treated within this specialty include hearing loss, ear infections, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), and balance disorders. For the nose and sinuses, ENTs address issues like chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, allergies, deviated septums, and nosebleeds. In the throat and larynx, they manage conditions such as tonsillitis, pharyngitis, voice disorders, swallowing difficulties (dysphagia), and sleep apnea.

Furthermore, the scope of otorhinolaryngology extends to the surgical treatment of head and neck cancers, thyroid and parathyroid gland issues, and congenital conditions affecting the head and neck. It involves both medical management through medication and diagnostic procedures, as well as surgical interventions. The specialty requires a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the head and neck region. Training for an otorhinolaryngologist typically involves medical school followed by a specialized residency program.
