OsTB1s
OsTB1s refers to a family of genes in rice (Oryza sativa) that are homologous to the TB1 gene in maize (Zea mays). TB1, which stands for teosinte branched1, is a key regulator of plant architecture, particularly in controlling shoot branching. In rice, the OsTB1s are also involved in regulating various aspects of plant growth and development, including tillering, which is the production of new shoots from the base of the plant.
There are multiple OsTB1 genes in the rice genome, and their expression patterns and functions can differ.
Research on OsTB1s has provided insights into the genetic basis of rice architecture. Manipulating the expression
