Ortenburg
Ortenburg is a municipality in the district of Passau in Bavaria, Germany. It is situated on the Vils river, 15 kilometers northwest of Passau. The town is notable for its castle, Schloss Ortenburg, which is one of the largest and most well-preserved Renaissance castles in Bavaria. The castle's history dates back to the 11th century, with significant additions and transformations occurring in the 16th century.
