Originaalravimid
Originaalravimid, also known as pioneer drugs or reference products, are the first version of a medication that contains a newly developed active pharmaceutical ingredient. These drugs are typically developed by pharmaceutical companies through extensive research and development, often involving significant investment in clinical trials to demonstrate their safety and efficacy. Once a new active ingredient is discovered and proven effective, the originating company obtains a patent, which grants them exclusive marketing rights for a specific period. This patent protection allows the company to recoup their research and development costs and profit from their innovation.
During the patent period, only the originating company can legally manufacture and sell the original drug.
