Oranists
Oranists were a historical political faction in the Dutch Republic, prominent in the 17th and 18th centuries. Their name derives from the House of Orange, the royal family of the Netherlands, which they supported and sought to elevate in power. The Oranists generally advocated for a stronger, more centralized government, often led by a Stadtholder from the House of Orange, who held considerable executive authority.
