OostDuitsland
OostDuitsland, officially the German Democratic Republic (GDR), was a country that existed from 1949 to 1990 in Central Europe. It was established in the Soviet occupation zone of Germany after World War II. The GDR was a socialist state and a member of the Warsaw Pact. Its capital was East Berlin, which was also a divided city.
