Onomastic

Onomastic is an adjective relating to onomastics, the scholarly study of proper names and naming in language and culture. The term derives from Greek onoma, name, with a suffix forming a field of study. In practice, onomastics encompasses the collection, classification, and analysis of names—given names, surnames, toponyms, and corporate or product names—and their linguistic, social, and historical dimensions.
