Odwoywanie

Odwoływanie is a Polish noun derived from the verbs odwoływać/odwołać and denotes the act or process of revoking, cancelling, or withdrawing a previously issued decision, measure, appointment, or statement. It can also refer to the act of appealing to a higher authority to reconsider a decision. In this sense, odwoływanie describes the ongoing activity, while odwołanie often denotes the specific appeal or petition itself.

In practice, odwoływanie appears in several contexts:

- revocation or cancellation of an official decision by the same authority or a higher body;

- initiating an appeal against a decision, commonly described by the related noun odwołanie;

- recalling a person from a position or assignment in diplomatic, organizational, or governmental contexts.

In legal and administrative texts, distinctions are often made between odwoływanie as the process and odwołanie
