Odstávkou is a Czech term that translates to "shutdown" or "outage" in English. It most commonly refers to the temporary cessation of operation of industrial facilities, power plants, or other complex systems. These shutdowns are typically planned and scheduled for specific purposes, such as maintenance, repairs, upgrades, or refueling.

Planned shutdowns are essential for ensuring the long-term safety, reliability, and efficiency of critical infrastructure. During an odstávka, specialized teams perform detailed inspections, replace worn-out components, and implement new technologies or safety measures.
