Odkryties

Odkryties is a multinational research and innovation organization founded in 2002 in Warsaw, Poland. The organization was established with the goal of promoting scientific discovery and commercializing breakthrough technologies across the fields of life sciences, materials science, and information technology. Its founding team was composed of leading academics from the Polish Academy of Sciences and industrial partners from the Warsaw region.

The company operates a network of research laboratories in Poland, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Brazil, each dedicated to specific disciplines—genomics, nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, and renewable energy. In addition to conducting basic research, Odkryties offers consulting services to biotech firms, pharmaceuticals, and energy companies. Its intellectual property portfolio includes over 300 patents granted in the European Patent Office and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Odkryties has partnered with several major multinational corporations, providing joint development programs that have resulted in the commercialization of novel drug delivery systems and high‑performance conductive polymers. The organization also maintains an open‑access database of research findings that supports collaboration between universities and industry.

In 2019, Odkryties launched the Global Discovery Fund, a venture capital arm that invests in start‑ups specializing in “frontier science.” The fund has invested more than $150 million in 25 companies worldwide. Odkryties continues to be recognized for its contributions to fostering innovation and bridging the gap between research and industry.
