OOCL

OOCL, short for Orient Overseas Container Line, is a Hong Kong-based container shipping and logistics company. It operates a global network of container ships and offers ocean transportation services and integrated logistics through OOCL Logistics. OOCL is widely recognized as one of the world's leading container lines by capacity and route coverage.

Its shipping services connect major trade lanes, including Asia–Europe, the Trans-Pacific, and the Trans-Atlantic routes. Ownership and corporate structure: OOCL is a subsidiary of China COSCO Shipping Corporation Limited after the 2018 acquisition of OOIL, the parent company. The acquisition placed OOCL within one of the largest global shipping groups and aligned its operations with COSCO's network.

History and fleet: OOCL traces its origins to mid-20th-century shipping enterprises and began containerized services in the late 1960s.
