OLEDruudut refers to screens utilizing Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) technology. These displays are known for their exceptional contrast ratios, deep blacks, and vibrant colors. Unlike traditional LCD screens that require a backlight, each OLED pixel emits its own light. This self-emissive nature allows for pixels to be completely turned off, resulting in true blacks and infinite contrast.

The organic compounds used in OLEDs degrade over time, which can lead to issues like screen burn-in, where persistent images leave a permanent mark on the display. However, advancements in materials and manufacturing processes have significantly improved the lifespan and reduced the susceptibility to burn-in in modern OLED panels.

OLED technology is widely adopted in high-end televisions, smartphones, and some computer monitors due to its superior visual performance. The thin and flexible nature of OLED panels also opens possibilities for innovative form factors, such as curved or foldable displays. The energy efficiency of OLEDs can vary; while black pixels consume no power, brightly lit pixels can draw more power than their LCD counterparts.
