Nørhald

Nørhald is a former municipality in Denmark. It was located in the former Aarhus County, which is now part of the Central Denmark Region. The municipality was established in 1970 as part of the nationwide municipal reform and encompassed several parishes. Nørhald had an area of approximately 255 square kilometers. Its administrative center was located in the town of Ølst.

In 2007, as part of a new municipal reform, Nørhald municipality was merged with several other municipalities to form the new Randers municipality. This significant restructuring aimed to create larger, more efficient administrative units. Prior to the merger, Nørhald was known for its rural landscape, characterized by agricultural land and some smaller villages. The area also featured natural attractions and a relatively low population density. The former municipality's territory is now integrated into the larger administrative and geographical framework of Randers municipality.
