Næringarforða refers to the stored nutrients within an organism that can be utilized during periods of scarcity or increased demand. This concept is particularly relevant in biology, ecology, and nutrition. Organisms accumulate these reserves through various metabolic processes, typically storing them as fats, carbohydrates, or proteins.
