Nuits-Saint-Georges is a commune in eastern France, located in the Côte-d'Or department within the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. It sits in the Côte de Nuits wine-producing area, in the Ouche river valley, roughly 25 to 30 kilometers south of Dijon. The name references Saint George, a figure historically linked to the locality.
