Nsulfonylaation
Nsulfonylation is a chemical reaction in which a sulfonyl group (RSO2-) is attached to a nitrogen atom. This process is often used to form sulfonamides, which are a class of organic compounds containing the functional group RSO2NR2. The most common method for Nsulfonylation involves the reaction of a primary or secondary amine with a sulfonyl halide, such as tosyl chloride or mesyl chloride, in the presence of a base. The base is necessary to neutralize the hydrogen halide that is liberated during the reaction.
Alternatively, Nsulfonylation can be achieved using sulfonic anhydrides. These reactions are generally milder and can be
