Normaldruckkraft

Normaldruckkraft, also known as the normal force, is a supporting force exerted by a surface on an object in contact with it. This force is perpendicular to the surface and acts in the opposite direction of the force pressing the object against the surface. It arises from the electromagnetic repulsion between the atoms of the object and the atoms of the surface at the point of contact. Essentially, it's the force that prevents objects from passing through each other when they are in contact.

The magnitude of the normal force is not always equal to the weight of the object. While on a horizontal surface, with no other vertical forces acting, the normal force is equal in magnitude and opposite in direction to the object's weight. However, if there are other vertical forces, such as an applied upward or downward force, or if the surface is inclined, the normal force will adjust accordingly to balance the net force perpendicular to the surface. For example, on an inclined plane, the normal force is less than the object's weight because only the component of gravity perpendicular to the plane contributes to the normal force. The normal force is crucial in understanding friction, as the frictional force is directly proportional to the normal force.
