Nordharz
Nordharz is a municipality in the Harz district, in the state of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It was formed on January 1, 2010, from the administrative merger of the former municipalities of Derenburg, Heimburg, Huy-Neinstedt, and parts of the municipality of Groß Quenstedt. The municipality's administrative seat is located in Derenburg. Nordharz is situated north of the Harz mountain range, hence its name, which translates to "North Harz". The area is characterized by a mix of agricultural land, forests, and smaller hills.
