Noldans are a fictional Elven people created by J.R.R. Tolkien for his legendarium, primarily appearing in The Silmarillion and other writings. They are one of the three kindreds of Elves who made the Great Journey from Cuiviénen in the uttermost East to the Undying Lands of Aman. The Noldor, meaning "those who know," were renowned for their love of craftsmanship, knowledge, and skill in smithing and gem-cutting. They were the most gifted of all Elves in arts and sciences.
